The Practice is actively involved in delivering medical education at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels.
We teach Medical Students from Swansea, Manchester, Cardiff and Bangor Universities. In addition, we teach Physician Associate Students from Swansea and Bangor Universities. Students are placed at the Surgery for most months of the year. These work under the supervision of a General Practitioner.
We are very grateful to all our patients who agree and consent to consulting with students before seeing a GP, since this opportunity gives them valuable experience to improve their clinical skills. Please let a staff member know if you prefer not to see a Student.
We are proud to be involved with teaching Foundation Year One (Junior Doctors). These are newly qualified doctors who spend one day per week at the GP Surgery for a 12 month period as part of the LIFT; Longitudinal Integrated Foundation Programme. We have one Doctor that works from the Surgery on a Thursday and another on a Friday. All patients seen by a Junior Doctor after subsequently reviewed by a qualified GP.
